Sorry for not posting for a while

Afternoon all

Sorry for not posting for a little while but things have been a bit hectic since Sarah came home we are trying to fit her stuff into our very small bungalow, but we are finally getting there.  She has now registered with the Dr's and has contacted a few agencies who have put her forward for a couple of jobs and she should hear by the end of this week if she has been successful, fingers crossed.

It has been so nice though to have her home I have done nothing but laugh she is such good fun. I finally managed to sit and make a card today and am going to enter it into the Willow Sketchie Challenge which is using three different papers on a card plus the sketch.

Again this is on commission for a graduation of my friend's daughter so hopefully she will like it.

I will blog and blog hop again as soon as I have five minutes to myself.  Am off to make dinner just now.

The papers from this card are from the Rachelle Miller Collection CD and the image came from www.digitalwebstudio.com

Bye for now - Alison

Afternoon all

Well our daughter came home last night and have had a lovely day today, not done very much did a bit of housework this morning then popped to the Dr's to get Sarah registered, came home made Alan's lunches for the rest of the week he asked for mini meat loaves.  Sarah has just taken Bella for a walk and then we are going to make room for some of her things and then store the rest in the shed until she finds a job and gets her own place really enjoyed myself it makes a change to do things with someone who has similar tastes.

Today's card is a commissioned card and I have followed Willow Sketchie Challenge and am going to enter my card into their challenge

I used an digi image from digi web studio and is of a male Dr the next commissioned card is for a female Dr who will be graduating at the same time.

The papers came from the Rachelle Anne Miller CD and the card from Just Tracy's I cut the swirls out using my Silhouette Cameo and used the spotty embosing folder for the white card with my cuttlebug.

I will go blog hopping tonight but just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has left comments on my blog really appreciate them.  Love Alison xxxx

Sunday morning and the sun is shining

Morning everbody

Well just had some good news our youngest daughter Sarah is coming home tomorrow as she wants to move back to the West Country from London.  As I think I have told you on a previous blog she was being bullied at work so much so that she handed her notice in.I know she could have reported this woman who was bullying her but she had just had enough and said that she could not recognise the person she was becoming and felt that she had reached the end.  Anyway she gave her job up and her flat to stay with friends until she found another job but is finding harder than she imagined so has decided to concentrate on looking here in the West Country so she will be home tomorrow which is great as I miss her so much and will now have my best buddy back.

We are off to see our eldest daughter when Alan gets back from putting petrol in the car, she lives about 15 miles away so not far and hopefully the granddaughters will be around so will get to see them too, don't see much of them as they all have busy lives.

Thought I would share a card with you today that I made ages ago with paper and silk flowers sorry the picture is a bit blurred.  This card is decoupaged with the silk and paper flowers built up in layers and the decoupage came from craft creations looks better in real time than the photo.

Hope you all have a great Sunday in the Sun long may it last.  Bye for now Alison xxx

Friday Afternoon

Hello everybody

Sorry for not blogging all week but I have been down with a flare-up of Fribromyalgia, painful joints and extreme tiredness and not being able to string a sentence together am only just starting to come back up to a level where I can function again.

Well had a lovely time meeting up with old friends last weekend at hubby's 30th Falkland reunion it was great seeing people that we have not seen for over 5 years since the last reunion.  Monday we had the Fair in the Square here in Cornwood as you all know as I have been banging on about it for ages, the rain held off apart from a few quick showers which was good and a busy day was had by all.   I managed to sell £45.00 worth of cards although I felt really awkward as Rachel who was sharing the table with me only sold a couple of cards.  The difference for me this year was the fact that I bought a card display stand so people were drawn to that as it was at eye level.

Anyway here is a card I made yesterday at Just Tracy's using distress inks straight onto the stamp and then colouring in with distress inks only used the two colours green and lilac but it is an extremely attractive card.

I have another craft fair to get ready for which is at the end of June so hopefully will have sorted out my soaps to sell as well  waiting for stuff to arrive which I ordered last week and when I phoned the company up yesterday they informed me that they would not be able to dispatch my order until next week due to staff shortages, if I had known about this would have ordered from another site which I found and has better soap making goodies.  ahh well.

Will catch you all later

Friday Morning and a long time since last post

Morning all

Unable to believe how quickly time has gone by since my last post.  I apologise for not blogging over the last week but had a heavy cold and all I wanted to do is sleep and cuddle into the duvet.  Feeling much better now thank goodness as we have a fairly busy bank holiday coming up.  It is the 30 year Falklands reunion of HMS Alacrity this weekend on Saturday evening meeting up in Plymouth at the Union Rooms and then on Sunday church service at HMS Drake and then onto lunch at the Plymouth British Legion in Crownhill.  Looking forward to seeing everyone again it's been about 5 years since we all last met up.

On Monday it is finally the Fair in the Square have to cut my soap into blocks and package them yet and not sure how much to charge but will have a think about it.  I have made three cards over the last week and have only got to put inserts in and put them in the poly bags ready to go.  I bought a decent card stand from ebay and will take pictures on Monday to show you all.  Hope the weather is kind to us.

Our younger granddaughter Jessie is coming over with a friend on Sunday to look after Bella as we have never left her for more than a couple of hours except when we met up with friends in Gloucestershire last year and put her into kennels for the night Bella,  Alan and I were distressed by this so hence Jessie dog sitting.

Just dyed my hair to try and reduce the amount of grey it never totally goes away but at least the roots are normal again.   Anyway here are my cards they all came from www.handmade-cards.com and are decoupaged.

Hope you like them, I will be blog hopping shortly.  Thank you for any comments you leave and for taking a look at my cards.  Happy Crafting  Alison xxxx

Evening All

Hi all

Am sitting at the computer waiting for EDF to pick up the phone have been on hold so far for 10 mins will probably give up soon and call them tomorrow as I put a metre reading in and it is saying they are going to take 438.38 out of our account in two days time bl***y hope not as I pay by direct debit each month.

Well I have not been too good again this week so have not really blogged or gone blog hopping so sorry will get to it tomorrow I promise.  Made a card today at Just Tracy's using distress inks and stamped image don't ask me what colours cos I can't remember should have written them down, but I really like how it turned out.   Had to come home and have a doze as it was the first time I have been out since the weekend and am running a bit of a temperature.

Not much to say tonight except really tired so will sign out just now hopefully I will be feeling a bit better tomorrow and will look at everybody's lovely cards then.

Bye for now catch you all up again soon.
